No additional sensor from the transmission is needed to operate your speedometer. They will work with all Intellitronix or any other manufacturer's speedometers that accept an industry standard 4,000, 8,000, or 16,000 pulses per mile signal, or with any programmable speedometer. The senders come complete with a GPS receiver, an on-circuit-board antenna, and a microprocessor with LED status indicator that continuously convert GPS signals into a pulse stream that replicates the output from your mechanical speed sensor, but with GPS accuracy. HardDrive Speed Sensors
You can target shaft rotational speed measurement with HardDrive speed sensors. Engine management speed sensors capture the vehicle speed on the gearbox and provide this information to the speedometer, delivering the input, output, or intermediate gear speed to the transmission control unit (TCU), which is responsible for managing the system. They provide information on the exact position of the crankshaft or camshaft and are transmission-mounted OEM equipment speed sensors. They will fit most aftermarket 5 and 6-speed transmissions, including right side drive transmissions, and are available for the applications noted.
