You can target shaft rotational speed measurement with HardDrive speed sensors. Now you can have memory recall on your factory or aftermarket tachometer by using Intellitronix tachometer recall kits. They are designed to work with any electric tachometer and also on your factory electronic tachometer. Simply connect the little black box in between your existing tachometer and the tachometer signal from your ignition. The microprocessor monitors each incoming tachometer signal and saves the highest reading. In normal mode, the microprocessor simply sends the incoming tachometer signal straight to your tachometer, but when you press the button, it recalls and sends the highest signal to your tachometer instead of the one coming from the ignition.
