No other gasket distributor offers their application-engineered approach to sealing an engine. Most Mahle Original valve cover gaskets come as complete sets, which contain the valve cover gasket(s), spark plug tube seals when required, and any grommets needed to remove and replace the valve cover. One set does both valve covers on V6 and V8 engines. On some popular engines, valve cover gaskets are sold individually. When sold individually, tube seals and grommets are not included. Over 700 models are available for vehicles from the 1940s and up. Cometic AFM intake gaskets are constructed from a chemically blown, compounded nitrile synthetic rubber bonded to an aluminum core. The gasket material has a temperature resistance of over 250 degrees and an 85 percent recovery, while maintaining strong torque retention. Cometic Gasket piston jet cooler gaskets (or piston cooling jets) enhance engine performance and longevity by preventing overheating, reducing the risk of piston seizure, and allowing for higher thermal loads, especially during performance builds. PCJs are particularly beneficial for the Harley-Davidson® Milwaukee Eight (M8) engines, which are known for their high compression and potential for overheating. By keeping pistons cooler, PCJs allow for higher compression ratios and more aggressive tuning, leading to increased horsepower and torque.
