COMP Cams offers a complete line of valve seals, from the stock GM O-rings to the positive-stop PTFE seals. They are a must to keep unwanted oil from entering the combustion chamber through the clearance in the valve guides. The O-ring seals use the standard retainer and oil splash shield. The umbrella seals are normally used when a larger-than-stock diameter spring is used. In the case of a double spring, the positive stop PTFE seals are used. For triple-spring applications, use the smaller-diameter Viton® seals.

BTR LS valve stem seals are designed for stock powdered metal and bronze guides; some include a built-in locator for single springs, and some use separate locators. The valve stem seals allow a carefully defined amount of engine oil from the cylinder head into the combustion chamber—to lubricate the rotating valve stem in the valve guide. BTR valve stem seals are produced from high performance materials for increased part life and lower wear. Order the set recommended for your year/make and engine application.

SKF Bearings engine crankshaft seals provide superior protection against dirt and water, manufactured with high-quality tested design and materials for correct fit. Deep drawn sheet steel is used for the body to create a rigid, stress-resistant metal case; while gator springs use cold drawn steel wire for superior fluid retention. These seals are used in a variety of applications, including 1970s era Ford Mustang IIs and Pintos.

Summit Bucks
Fel-Pro valve stem seals are available in a variety of sizes, styles, and materials. These small components perform a valuable role—controlling the lubrication of the valve stems as they slide in the valve guide. Too little oil causes stem and guide wear; too much increases oil consumption and can cause a buildup of carbon. This can lead to valve seat damage and early valve grind. Order the replacement set recommended for your vehicle and engine application.
