Dayco standard heater hoses carry the heated coolant from the engine block to the heater core under the dashboard, and return it to the engine. They're made for general service on light trucks and passenger cars. The ultra-durable hoses are constructed using all EPDM compounds, with spiral reinforcement for high burst strength and heat resistance of -40 degrees F (-40 degrees C) to +257 degrees F (+125 degrees C). These black cover hoses are similar to the SAE 20R3, Class D-2, and are specifically designed to be compatible with all common coolants and coolant additives. However, they are not suitable for fuel or oil transfer. Dayco heater hoses are available in a variety of diameters and lengths.

The HY-Ts are perfect for applications where excellent resistance to antifreeze coolants and extreme underhood temperatures is required. The tube and cover are manufactured from EPDM (ethylene propylene diene monomer) rubber with superior resistance to heat, ozone, and chemical coolants. Each hose is then reinforced with 2-spiral synthetic for additional strength and durability. Continental OE Technology Series HY-T black heater hoses are constructed to meet specifications similar to SAE J20R3--so they can take the heat.
