Harmonic Balancer Bolts

What’s the big deal about harmonic balancer bolts? As the revs of your high-performance engine rise, your crankshaft starts to flex. The harmonic balancer press fit to the end absorbs those vibrations, protecting your main bearings and crankshaft bearings while keeping your engine running smoothly. On most engines, a single bolt locks the harmonic balancer in place, so you better make sure it’s a good one—get it from Summit Racing Equipment!

Many stock harmonic balancer bolts are torque-to-yield (TTY) bolts, which means they shouldn’t be reused. So, whether you’re replacing a stock balancer, or upgrading to a durable race-ready model, you should get new hardware for it as well.
