Heat from your bike's exhaust system can become uncomfortable, especially riding in slow traffic. This issue really comes into focus for those with shorter legs, as well as the reluctance to disrupt the attractive lines and appearance of your motorcycle's exhaust. DEI heat shield liners insulate the outer heat shield without disturbing the looks of your bike. Each piece is precision cut to fit in-between the exhaust pipe and the heat shield, blocking heat transfer and lowering the surface temperatures of the outer shield. The kits are easy to install with no permanent modifications needed and feature dual-layer aluminum construction along with DEI's proprietary Dura 2000 insulating material that offers over a 60 percent reduction in heat. Stick on horsepower! Heatshield Products I-M shields reduce heat radiating from the top of the motor significantly. This creates a more dense fuel and air mixture, in turn creating more power. Think of them as intercoolers for your intake, with the same physics and chemistry, but just a different execution. They include heavy-duty adhesive that will stick to any clean, semi-smooth surface. Simply degrease and clean the surface, wipe it with pre-paint cleaner or isopropyl alcohol, let it dry, and then firmly press the Heatshield Products I-M shields onto the underside of the intake manifold.
