Summit Racing™ vacuum-actuated exhaust cutout kits are the ultimate cutouts for longevity and reliability. They are designed to withstand the harshest conditions imaginable underneath your car with bodies built from ceramic coated stainless steel that use a vacuum-actuated turbocharger wastegate actuator to open and close the blade. They function in high-heat environments and have been proven to work at temperatures as high as 2,000 degrees. Summit Racing™ kits bolt to existing 3-bolt flanges or will require fabrication to accommodate them, as would any other cutout kit. They can be opened and closed from inside the cockpit with an included "rocker switch" and will work on any car that has vacuum assisted brakes. Even better, because they are vacuum-operated, there is no routing of wires and electric motors around hot exhaust pipes--just a simple vacuum line. Prevent vapor lock and shift cables from melting with Lava hot rod sleeves from Heatshield Products. The heat shields for fuel lines combine the best of two worlds, the flexibility of a rugged hot rod sleeve with the strength of lava rock fiber. Lava fiber is naturally acid, chemical, brake fluid, and chemical-resistant. Additionally, the fiber is 25 percent stronger than fiberglass and is abrasion-resistant. The special braid of these tube heat shield sleeves allows them to have an expandable inside diameter up to 15 percent. To expand the inside diameter, shorten the length or bunch up the Lava hot rod sleeve to allow it to slide on over fittings and terminals. Once over, expand or stretch the length to tighten the sleeve onto the line or hose. To cut, use a sharp knife or pair of scissors. Each kit includes four heat shrinks to seal the ends of the oil line heat shield sleeve to the cable, tube, or hose it is protecting. Remember a loose-fitting heat shield sleeve is okay if the ends are sealed to prevent heat from getting trapped between the sleeve and the component it is protecting. The 10 ft. long sleeves are available in diameters ranging from 1/4 in. to 1.5 in. The special weaving of the color sleeves allow them to expand over fittings during installation and return to their original size.
