Mr. Gasket HEADLOCK Locking Header Bolts
Burning your hands on headers or the exhaust manifold when bolting them on just became a thing of the past. Mr. Gasket HEADLOCK locking header bolts simplify header installation with high-strength, 2-in-1 self-locking bolts that eliminate the need for lock washers. Designed for the performance engine builder, these innovative, patent-pending fasteners have 24 equally spaced serrations in the face of the hex head. The bolts grab and lock on to your manifold surface, virtually eliminating the chance that one might back out from vibration or because of the varying expansion rates of different metals. Mr. Gasket HEADLOCK locking header bolts are available for numerous domestic applications, including Chevrolet, Chrysler, Ford, AMC, Oldsmobile, and Pontiac. They're manufactured from stainless steel, designed to withstand tensile strengths of 150,000 pounds per square inch, and come with a bright polished finish.

Made from durable 16-gauge steel, Competition headers feature 5/16 in. thick flanges that are heavy enough to maintain header integrity, yet pliable enough to seal each exhaust port. Unless otherwise noted, these headers are designed to fit the vehicle as it came from the manufacturer. This includes components like cylinder heads, chassis, steering, motor mounts, body mounts and bushings, etc. If your vehicle is using aftermarket components, parts from other applications, or custom altered parts, then it is the installer's responsibility to verify fitment.

Mr. Gasket Header Bolts
Installing headers can sometimes be a real pain, due to the tight spaces and the location and shape of the tubes. Mr. Gasket can help make installation a little easier and also help prevent annoying exhaust leaks from under-tightened header bolts. They have both the socket-head and hex-head styles of header bolts available. Hex types are heat-treated Grade 5 steel and have smaller-than-standard heads to ease access in tight spaces. Socket-head bolts are made from stronger Grade 8 steel for added ruggedness and they're great for those really difficult-to-reach spots. Both styles have a protective black oxide finish.
