Y-pipes are usually used to connect to original equipment exhaust system connection points. Kooks Headers Y-pipes are heavy-duty and crack-resistant, featuring large diameter stainless steel construction with smooth-flowing mandrel-bent tubing. Most are designed to be used with Kooks long tube headers. Kooks Headers Y-pipes are offered in three versions: * Off-road (non-catted) for full track use with no horsepower loss and the loudest exhaust tone * With high-flow catalytic converters; recommended for street driving with little or no horsepower loss and a deeper exhaust tone * With Kooks ultra-high performance GREENCATS catalytic converters; designed for naturally aspirated and forced induction engines up to 900 hp, eliminates most "Check Engine Light" warnings Note: Kooks Headers Y-pipes may not be legal for sale, installation, or use in some areas. Check your state and local laws.

Many musclecar enthusiasts use off-road H-pipes for maximum performance at the track. However, BBK's in-house dyno facility has proven time and again that their CNC Series high-flow H-pipes make nearly as much horsepower—while retaining full emissions legality. Add to that standard features such as computer mandrel-bent aluminized tubing, die-stamped OEM-quality flanges, and factory oxygen-sensor and air-tube fittings, and you have the best of both worlds. Some H-pipe exhausts also include a catalytic converter. Find the BBK model designed for fitment on your vehicle.
