They are designed to withstand the harshest conditions imaginable underneath your car with bodies built from ceramic coated stainless steel that use a vacuum-actuated turbocharger wastegate actuator to open and close the blade. They function in high-heat environments and have been proven to work at temperatures as high as 2,000 degrees. Summit Racing™ kits work on any car that has vacuum assisted brakes. Even better, because they are vacuum-operated, there is no routing of wires and electric motors around hot exhaust pipes--just a simple vacuum line.
