ZyCoat ZyBar thermal coating is a high temperature thermal dissipation coating for headers, manifolds, turbos, and exhaust systems. By greatly reducing radiant engine heat, ZyBar improves scavenging performance to boost torque and increase horsepower. Utilizing advanced, micro-surface technology, even a very thin .001 to .0012 mil coating of ZyBar outperforms conventional tapes, wraps, ceramic, or powder coatings. ZyBar's improved engine performance was confirmed by measuring header surface temperature reduction versus stock, uncoated headers. Thermo-Tec aluminized heat barriers are made up of woven silica with a flexible aluminized finish. The highly-reflective surface of the material is capable of withstanding radiant temperatures in excess of 2000 degrees F. They can be installed using standard rivets with a backup washer or weather strip adhesive. The use of clamps or straps such as Thermo-Tec's Snap Strap can be used to hold the blankets in place for manifolds or exhaust systems.
