High-lift, aggressive camshafts and stiff valve springs can cause your rocker arm studs to flex, resulting in a loss of high-rpm power, and, eventually, engine damage and failure!

A rocker arm stud girdle (also called a valvetrain stabilizer) is a bar that clamps on over the polylocks of your stud-mount rocker arms, linking all the studs together. By distributing the load across all the studs, it adds strength and rigidity to the valvetrain.
