These Moroso dry sump oil tanks are designed to separate air quickly from the oil, prevent foaming and ensuring a continuous supply of oil to the pump under all racing conditions. As oil enters the tank, it rotates around the tank wall and de-aerates by spreading over a large surface area, allowing trapped air bubbles to dissipate quickly. This then lets the restored oil flow easily to the bottom outlet of the tank, where it can return to the pump and engine. The oil tanks are supplied with or without integral filtered breather tanks, and all have carefully engineered inlet locations with -AN fittings, large diameter billet aluminum screw-on filler caps, and drain plugs. Radium Engineering PCV (positive crankcase ventilation) valves are not simple one-way check valves. Radium's valves have an internal plunger that dynamically meters the appropriate amount of crankcase vent airflow based on current engine load, preventing the "vacuum leak" that a check valve would create at low loads. Also, in the event of a backfire, these PCV valves prevent combustible vapors from igniting in the crankcase. Improved Racing oil cooler adapters have a low-profile for more header clearance. The adapters are machined from a single piece of billet aluminum and black anodized. Compared to the OEM unit, the CNC-machined aluminum plate has an extra baffle to prevent oil sludge from entering the intake system without restricting airflow.
