Vertex GP Racer's Choice Piston Kits

Vertex GP Racers Choice Piston kits include piston, rings, wrist pin, and circlips. The GP Racer's Choice pistons have T-box forgings, unique shaped dome profiles, surface treatments, and increased compression ratios to produce more power, strength, and durability. All pistons are heat-treated with a T-5 or T-6 hardening and tempering. All piston skirts are coated with a high-tech Molybdenum Disulphite coating for faster break-in time and increased piston life. The forged pistons are forged from 2618 aluminum for superior strength and durability—and improve power and torque across entire rpm range. The cast piston kits are gravity cast aluminum alloy (not forged) with 18 percent silicone content, which produces an extremely light but very strong piston, while Big Bore pistons increase engines displacement, torque, and peak horsepower.
