High performance just got a lot easier and more affordable with S&S Cycle's CNC-ported B2 cylinder heads. In the past, S&S's B2 Special Application heads, that were used on the now legendary Tribute 145 engines, were often hailed as the best choice for very large displacement V-Twin engines. Now S&S Cycle offers CNC-ported B2 cylinder heads that are even better—providing added convenience, economy, and performance at the same time. Convenient, because they now fit 2008-later bagger front motor mounts and the new two bolt exhaust mounting flange is a lot easier to work with. Economical, because riders can use stock exhaust pipes, or existing 2 in. header systems. The increase in performance comes from increased flow of CNC-ported intake and exhaust ports. Heads features stock bolt pattern and require special pistons, intake manifold flanges, and pushrod length for installation. Improved Racing oil cooler adapters have a low-profile for more header clearance. The adapters are machined from a single piece of billet aluminum and black anodized. For additional clearance with reliable sealing, they come with aluminum gaskets fitted with Viton® seals, and the adapter mounting holes are counter-bored so the mounting bolts fit flush with the adapter surface. Select Improved Racing oil cooler adapters are also available with a built-in thermostat. Oil coolers help prevent the oil from getting too hot, but are also prone to lowering oil temperatures too much, especially in colder weather or during highway driving. The rebuildable thermostat speeds warm-up and helps reduce engine wear and horsepower losses by preventing oil temperatures from dropping below optimal levels.
