AFR 260cc LS3 Mongoose cylinder heads are 100 percent 5-axis, CNC-ported, and feature titanium retainers, A356 aluminum castings, and Pac Racing springs. These CARB certified heads require 4.000 in. or larger bore applications on up through 454 cu. in. engines operating at or below 7,000 rpm—and flow over 380 cfm at 0.700 in. lift and are designed primarily for street and strip applications. Other structural features include Air Flow Research's trademark 3/4 in. thick head deck, reinforced rocker stud bosses, and thick wall runners provide unparalleled durability. They feature Permanent Mold "As-Cast" Technology surfaces on the intake runners, exhaust runners, and combustion chambers that allow for extremely accurate and repeatable port location/performance. The budget-friendly heads are perfect for your OEM engine operating below 6,300 rpm. Fully assembled Enforcer models include the identical components found in AFR's higher end CNC-ported cylinder heads—such as PAC Racing springs, Viton® valve seals, machined bead valve locks (not stamped), hardened spring seats, and one-piece 8mm 21 4N stainless steel valves. The heads are available without any parts for the DIY. Sold as a single piece, two heads are required per engine.
