Lokar Midnight Series flexible engine dipsticks are designed to coordinate with Midnight Series flexible transmission dipsticks. Their slim design allows for the easy installation inside of headers to work with OEM and Sanderson cast exhaust manifolds. They have clearance for block-hugger headers or can be applied straight into the engine block (without a tube), depending on your application needs. Improved Racing oil cooler adapters have a low-profile for more header clearance. The adapters are machined from a single piece of billet aluminum and black anodized. For additional clearance with reliable sealing, they come with aluminum gaskets fitted with Viton® seals, and the adapter mounting holes are counter-bored so the mounting bolts fit flush with the adapter surface. Select Improved Racing oil cooler adapters are also available with a built-in thermostat. Oil coolers help prevent the oil from getting too hot, but are also prone to lowering oil temperatures too much, especially in colder weather or during highway driving. The rebuildable thermostat speeds warm-up and helps reduce engine wear and horsepower losses by preventing oil temperatures from dropping below optimal levels.
