Moroso dry sump breather tanks allow a place for air to escape to the atmosphere. They're designed to be used as a remote breather and oil separator on dry sump tanks and rear axle housings. They have -12AN fittings to simplify plumbing, can be mounted to any panel with included mounting straps, and come complete with a filtered breather and draincock. A perfect companion for Moroso's Racing vacuum pumps or dry sumps, these tanks are all-aluminum and lightweight.

These Moroso dry sump oil tanks are designed to separate air quickly from the oil, prevent foaming and ensuring a continuous supply of oil to the pump under all racing conditions. As oil enters the tank, it rotates around the tank wall and de-aerates by spreading over a large surface area, allowing trapped air bubbles to dissipate quickly. This then lets the restored oil flow easily to the bottom outlet of the tank, where it can return to the pump and engine. The oil tanks are supplied with or without integral filtered breather tanks, and all have carefully engineered inlet locations with -AN fittings, large diameter billet aluminum screw-on filler caps, and drain plugs. They are made of aluminum and are TIG-welded for the ultimate in durability.

If you're overhauling an older motorcycle engine or building a lubrication system from scratch, consider the turnkey ease of S&S Cycle oil pump kits. They offer the same width oil supply and return gears as a stock Harley-Davidson® aluminum pump, but these driveshaft gears increase potential oil volume delivery by 25 percent over stock on some engines. S&S pumps are machined with an oil pressure bleed-off passage, relieving pressure build-up on top of the valve to maintain consistent oil pressure. Excess oil is also routed directly to the supply side of the pump to reduce the amount returned to the tank—which means less foaming and cavitation.
