These terms aren’t that precise, and can mean different things to different manufacturers, so make sure the crate engine you buy comes with everything you need and nothing you don’t. The SP350/357 leverages the strength of a strong rotating assembly secured in a brand-new block with 4-bolt mains, along with economical Vortec iron cylinder heads. A roller camshaft optimizes driveability and airflow capability. It all adds up to a 24 hp gain over CPP's 350 HO crate engine—and a great, affordable alternative to rebuilding.
