ATK High Performance Chevy LQ4 6.0L 505 hp long block crate engines are designed to be a performance upgrade for LS-based vehicles or perfect for a 2001-07 Chevy Truck LQ4 or LS swap in a hot rod. Expect big mid- to upper-end power, with a noticeable idle. (For optimal performance, you'll need headers, chassis dyno tune, and 36 lb. injectors. ECM MUST BE TUNED; not doing so can damage the engine. A PCV valve must be run. You must also run an air-oil separator system such as the Moroso 85487 to capture the excess crankcase vapors LS engines are known for. If you are not running a MAP sensor, the MAP timing option in the timing control box must be zeroed out all the way across. Failure to do so will allow the controller to add timing which can lead to detonation. You must also run some sort of a steam line kit that dumps to your water pump, radiator or radiator hose; ATK recommends a 4-corner setup like the Trick Flow TFS-306SB601. This allows air pockets/hot spots to escape the heads and can also be used to purge out trapped air when filling the radiator for the first time.

Featuring a fuel injected Chevy LS small block-compatible 427 (c.i.d.) engine that produces 585 hp, this standard edition builder series includes a polished (or black) pulley kit and T56 manual transmission. The BluePrint aluminum cylinder heads help produce a nice 11.0:1 compression ratio, with assistance from the hydraulic roller camshaft, forged pistons, and forged steel crankshaft. Altogether, this assembly produces 520 lbs.-ft. of torque. Recommended Fuel: 91 Octane. The front accessory drive on this engine fits many vehicles, however it is the customer responsibility to accurately measure and confirm fitment. Note this is a low-profile design, but things such as power steering hoses, alternator wiring, and additional fittings/fabrication may be required on some vehicles. BluePrint Engines recommends a 2200+ RPM stall converter. Retro fit oil pan will fit most 1955-1995 GM front engine, RWD, V8 cars. Not for use in pollution-controlled vehicles or in dry sump applications. The LS controller package is for engine control only. Does not contain any transmission or body control. The ECU comes with calibration that is optimal for our engine, however, please note that vehicle parameters such as gearing, tire size, vehicle weight, air intake, headers, etc. may necessitate additional tuning once installed into your specific vehicle. The ECU is unlocked for further refinement at your local dyno shop if required. BluePrint Engines recommends their air intake kit (BPPLS01013) to ensure correct MAF calculations and Dyno calibration are maintained with the provided ECU/tuning.
