Gator head studs have a much higher strength and will not stretch like the factory bolts, helping to keep your truck from popping head gaskets. Designed for stock to moderately built engines. Gator studs are manufactured with 8740 material with an added proprietary element and black oxide finished. They are rated at 220,000 psi tensile strength, providing the clamping force required to keep cylinder heads from lifting due to higher combustion pressures.
