It starts with the small cross section Fast as Cast® runners. They promote excellent port velocity for increased low end torque and have a profile that provides excellent flow for making high RPM horsepower on small bore engines. Modern CNC-profiled chambers promote combustion efficiency to maximize power with less ignition timing, reducing the potential for detonation. The result is more power and torque, better drivability, and greater throttle response from your street performance engine. The features don't end there. Trick Flow® Super 23® 175 cylinder heads have improved A356-T61 castings with 3/4" thick decks for added strength and durability. They also have a competition multi-angle valve job, angled spark plugs, and raised valve cover rails for improved rocker clearance and less potential for oil leaks. Heads are available assembled with premium components including stainless steel valves, bronze guides, 7° machined locks, chromoly retainers, and your choice of PAC Racing valve springs for flat tappet or hydraulic roller cams. Trick Flow® Super 23® 175 heads accept most original accessories. They are emissions-legal under CARB E.O. #D-747-1 for 1995 and earlier GM vehicles with Chevy 262–350 engines. Edelbrock Ford flathead cylinder heads feature your choice of the original Edelbrock script logo or the block-style logo. Designed for both Fords and Mercurys, these heads are rugged, ribbed internally and externally, with a large water capacity, and excellent breathing characteristics. Available with 74 cc or 65 cc chamber volumes, the 65cc heads support an 8.0:1 compression ratio on blocks with a 3/16 in. base relief (stock bore and stroke); compression ratio increase is approximately 3/10 of a percent with each 1/8 in. of stroke increase. The high lift/large chamber versions feature a new "raised roof" combustion chamber design and are CNC-machined for high lift cams. Perfect for reducing compression in supercharger applications or for low octane fuel, they offer increased valve clearance and improved flow capacity. Match these heads with Edelbrock's popular Ford flathead intake manifolds. Edelbrock Ford flathead cylinder heads are cast at the Edelbrock foundry in the USA of T-6 tempered A356 aluminum. These Edelbrock Victor big block Chrysler cylinder heads are designed for the serious race enthusiast. They are made of aluminum and feature raised intake and exhaust ports for improved flow characteristics. The heads will fit both tall and low-deck engine blocks using Victor intake manifolds. The raised valve cover rails get rid of any chance of leaking gaskets. Available with or without valves, these heads have reamed and semi-finished valve stem guides and no valve job. They require final guide sizing, valve seat finishing before installation, and special offset rocker arms for the intake side.
