They work well with superchargers and nitrous, and will require springs, a tune, phaser limiter, and an MDS (multi-displacement system) delete. The smaller cams in this group have a noticeable lope and good power across the range, while the larger cams have a serious lope with strong top-end. Choose the one that best fits your purpose. Notes: * Pro Hemi automotive Stage 1 has a noticeable lope and works great in 5.7L as a daily driver. It makes good power through the range, and a tune and phaser limiter are required. A free flowing aftermarket exhaust is recommended. * Pro Hemi automotive Stage 2 has a mild lope and works great in a daily driver. It makes good power through the range, and a tune and phaser limiter are required. These Extreme Black Severe Application valves by Howards Cams are engineered for high-rpm and high-horsepower applications. They feature a gloss black nitride finish and are perfect for high temperatures (they run cooler, which improves valve life), nitrous, turbo, and supercharger applications. These valves will give naturally aspirated motors a much greater cylinder flow for good horsepower gains. These valves start off as a one-piece forged high-temperature, high-nickel, stainless steel alloy. They're CNC-finished to strict tolerances, making them the choice for the most demanding race classes. Their black nitride micro-hardness is higher than the stainless steel base material. No process can match it for surface hardness! The surface finish is smoother than with chromed stems, having less friction between the stem and the guide. The black nitride reduces power loss due to there being less valve-guide friction.
