The exhaust valves on a HD® motorcycle primarily serve to modulate exhaust sound, allowing for quieter operation in certain modes and louder performance in others. These solid lifter conversion kits for Shovelhead engines with stock 5.330 in. cylinders will convert stock hydraulic lifters to 1948-52 style adjustable solid lifters.
