OER offers timing covers for a variety of applications, including many Chevy, Cadillac, Oldsmobile, and Pontiac cars from the 1960s, '70s, '80s, and '90s. These reproduction front crankcase or timing covers are designed for a variety of 1964-79 GM models equipped with Olds 307, 330, 350, 403, 400, 425, or 455 V8 engines—including the popular 1977-80 Firebird and Trans Am 403 cu. in. equipped models and the 1986-90 Cadillac Brougham, Chevy Caprice Classic, Pontiac Parisienne, and Safari with the 307 cu. in. Olds engine. These stock-style replacement front timing cover plates replace the original GM units which tend to rust out where the water pump bolts are located. This part should be replaced whenever corrosion is present.

Expected motor life has increased greatly through the years, but anything with moving parts is susceptible to wear and will eventually need rebuilt. PAC Racing 300 Series valve spring retainers are made from 4140 aerospace grade chromoly steel, making them an excellent choice for stock to slightly modified rebuilds. PAC does their own in-house manufacturing, allowing them to build strength into these units. They are heat-treated for solid wear characteristics and to raise the tensile strength, and for a rust-free finish, they apply black oxide coatings. Into every engine a little work must go; make certain you use the right parts for your stock to slightly modified build with PAC Racing 300 Series valve spring retainers.
