Cam Motion Junkyard Dog Series Performance LS camshafts are aggressive and powerful cams engineered for carburetor or single-plane intake manifolds. The camshafts are designed to get maximum performance out of your stock short block, while still maintaining acceptable valve clearance without fly-cutting the pistons. They feature Cam Motion's smooth cam lobe design that provides quiet valvetrain operation and excellent upper rpm stability. Junkyard Dog cams are available for cathedral and rectangular port cylinder heads, as well as for nitrous applications. Cam Motion offers the camshafts in 5150 induction-hardened chromium, 8660 induction-hardened nickel-chromium-molybdenum, and their top-of-the-line 8620 carburized nickel-chromium-molybdenum camshaft cores. Cam Motion Junkyard Dog cams are bred for vehicles equipped with headers, high-flow exhaust, increased stall speed torque converters, and increased rear axle ratios. Cam Motion LS Positive Displacement Supercharger camshafts are designed for a variety of applications, from basic street performance to aggressive and maximum street performance. They're intended for vehicles using an LS engine (various sizes) equipped with a positive-displacement style supercharger. Depending on the model you select, drivers can expect a mild performance idle and improved power throughout the rpm range—with emphasis on mid-range and upper rpm range for the more aggressive applications. Additional performance gains can be achieved when used with headers, free-flowing exhaust, and an increased stall speed torque converter. The Supercharger Series cams are designed with Cam Motion's renowned smooth cam lobe to provide quiet valvetrain operation and excellent upper rpm stability. Summit Racing™ Pro LS Automotive cams are affordable and designed in stages with very specific cam timing for each individual application in cathedral and rectangle port versions. This ensures maximum performance and gives you the idle you are looking for. The lobes are designed for stability at high rpm with the spring pressures found in quality .600 and .670 in. spring packs. Careful design guarantees the cams can be installed with minimal difficulty. Although piston to valve clearance should always be verified, the Stage 2 and 3 cams often allow for additional cylinder head milling. The Stage 4 cams often require no changes but can be degreed slightly different as needed. Starting with American bearing steel, they are precision machined on a Landis 3LB CNC grinder with CBN diamond wheels for unmatched quality.

They have the overlap of big race cams YET work with a stock converter and flat top pistons! They makes so much torque, gears are no longer required - but 4.11's are always the fastest.
