The Open Wheel Modified Traction Control Camshaft Series is comprised of 10 solid flat tappet and mechanical roller grinds for small block Chevys. Melling timing chain sets are designed for use with either performance or stock cams. They have a solid-bushing chain for a true bearing surface that rolls with the sprockets, eliminating chain stretch. The crank gears are machined from stress-proof steel. Most Melling timing chain sets have three keyways to ensure accurate timing for early or late model vehicles, and to allow you to set the cam timing at 4 degrees advanced, 4 degrees retarded, or stock. However, 50-state (stock replacement) sets have single keyways. The chains are available in several styles, such as single or double roller, single non-roller, and link belt. The COMP Cams Ultra Pro Magnum rocker arms feature an oversized trunnion and precision-sorted needle bearings designed for use with high-load valve springs. These unique rockers also feature hardened roller tips for reduced friction and elimination of the valve stem "side loading" that causes premature valve guide wear.

If you're looking for a cost-effective camshaft solution to delete that pesky DOD—Chevrolet Performance stock replacement non-DOD camshafts are the answer. They're designed to work with OEM valve springs/pushrods in the DOD-equipped Gen 4 trucks. These OEM camshafts are standard equipment on non-DOD 5.3L trucks. Since they come as a single-bolt style, new timing gear won't be necessary. Just swap cams and additional DOD delete parts (sold separately) and you're ready to roll! Comp Cams cam phaser limiter kits are specially designed, computer-controlled cam gears that automatically optimize camshaft timing based on the current engine rpm Engine oil is pressure-fed to the phasers through passageways in the cylinder heads and cams. The engine computers control solenoids that adjust this oil flow into and out of the phasers' control chambers, creating the ability to retard the cams. While this technology provides fuel efficiency and the ability to always be in the best position for maximum power, regardless of engine rpm, it does present some limitations when it comes to performance cams. With such a wide range of valve timing movement, there is very little piston to valve clearance, which limits you to small cam profiles with little overlap. COMP Cams cam phaser limiter kits restrict the range of cam timing movement (14 degrees for Chrysler, 20 degrees for Ford, and 22 degrees for GM), thus providing the necessary valve clearance for serious performance cams with tighter lobe separations--all while utilizing the benefits of VVT technology.
