PRW pushrods are ideal for serious street performance and race applications. As an essential component in an engine's valvetrain system, the primary function of a pushrod is to transmit the vertical motion of the camshaft to the rocker arms. As the lobes of the rotating camshaft lift the pushrods, they push against the rocker arms, causing them to pivot and open the valves. The length of a pushrod is critical to ensure proper valvetrain geometry, therefore, it should be carefully selected to maintain the correct relationship between the camshaft, pushrod, rocker arms, and valves. ARP Pro Series rocker arm studs are ideal for competition applications. They are made from 8470 chromoly steel and are heat-treated to 200,000 psi tensile strength. They are concentric within .005 T.I.R. thread pitch to thread pitch, which will give you more consistent rocker geometry. With an extra-large radius base, these studs are more resistant to flex and will provide a more positive seating. Pro Series rocker arm studs were designed for use with Perma-Loc adjusters (not for use with OEM-style, self-locking nuts).

Big Daddy camshafts are top dog in the Rattler lineup, and as such they offer a rough idle, and are best used in Pro Street or street/strip applications. Compression needs to be at least 9.5:1, the torque converter needs to stall 2,800 rpm or higher, and a performance intake manifold, steeper gears, and free-flowing exhaust are required to take advantage of the camshaft's capabilities.

COMP Cams's XD-A pushrods offer a game-changing method for accurately setting lash or pre-load while using non-adjustable-style rockers. These patent-pending pushrods incorporate a top section that slides 2 in. inside a wider bottom section, with one or two shims captured in-between. Proven to 9,000-plus rpm in solid roller LS applications, the system provides a 90 percent increase in bending stiffness for enhanced valvetrain stability. It also allows for lightening of a rocker arm system by 30-plus grams on the backside by removing the adjuster and required support area for threads and seating. The use of lighter rockers with XD-A adjustable pushrods allow higher rpm to be achieved by creating a much more dynamically stable valvetrain system. COMP Cam XD-A pushrods are designed especially for engines with low-mass rocker arms and a light valvetrain with drop-in fitment in LS engines. They can be adjusted over a range of .172 in. in .004 in. increments with shims. Choose the pushrods with the adjustment range needed for your setup.
