Speed-Pro Competition Series Main Bearings

If you're building a serious performance engine, then you'll want to consider Speed-Pro Competition Series main bearings. They were developed in NASCAR and Pro Stock competition, so you know they're tough. The bearings are built on premium 1020AK steel backings and overlaid with Speed-Pro's super-duty H-14 alloy. That layer is then covered with a nickel barrier, followed by a thin lead-tin-copper overplate. However, unlike other performance bearings, there is no flash tin layer on top of that. Speed-Pro's engineers have determined that such a layer can actually move around under high loads—sometimes with undesirable consequences. Depending on the application, these main bearings have oil grooves for enhanced lubrication, while maintaining a maximum bearing surface area. They also feature Speed-Pro's exclusive contoured-flange thrust bearing technology for higher thrust-loading capacity. Competition Series main bearings are available in nearly a hundred configurations for countless vehicle and engine applications.

COMP Cams Composite Coated Cam Bearings

Save your cam with COMP Cams composite coated cam bearings. High performance engines give your cam bearings a beating with their radical rpm, intense heat, and extreme pressures! These coated bearings retain engine oil on the surface--even under severe stress. Their fluoropolymer coating is self-lubricating and also offers great protection when oil is scarce during start-up. Save your cam from momentary oil starvation and the harsh punishment of your performance engine with COMP Cams composite coated cam bearings.

Dura-Bond Universal HP Coated Cam Bearings

Dura-Bond Universal HP coated cam bearings are ideal for racing. These high performance bearings offer double the fatigue strength of standard bearings, withstand racing spring loads, and maintain the excellent surface characteristics of Babbit. The bearings have a Fluoropolymer dry lubricant that penetrates the surface where it's been applied. This coating allows the bearings to retain engine oil on the surface, even under extreme heat and pressure conditions. They're available in a variety of size options, with or without a groove.

Clevite H-Series Rod Bearings

Clevite H-Series rod bearings were developed primarily for use in NASCAR type racing but are suitable for all types of competition engines. These H-Series bearings have a medium level of eccentricity, high crush factor, and have hardened steel backs and thin overlays. They also have enlarged chamfers for greater crankshaft fillet clearance and are made without flash plating for better seating. Bearings with .001 in. extra clearance are available for standard size shafts and with or without dowel holes. H-Series bearings are recommended for use with crankshafts that have oversize fillets and where engines run in the medium to high rpm range. They should also be used if contact patterns obtained with Clevite P-Series bearings are too narrow. Contact patterns should ideally cover 2/3 to 3/4 of the bearing surface.
