Enginetech Cam Bearings

Enginetech offers cam bearings for a variety of applications, including many Chevy small block V8 engines from the 1960s, '70s, '80s, and '90s. Enginetech camshaft bearings are manufactured as a "full round" design. They're produced from extruded steel tubes with a centrifugally cast Babbitt lining. Several different grades of Babbitt are used depending on the application. Engines with inherent OE problems of bearing wiping and/or fatiguing utilize a high-grade ASTM-14 material. Order the replacement set recommended for your engine.

Enginetech Main Bearings

Enginetech main bearings are made of high-quality alloys, based on the application requirement. Manufactured on state-of-the-art equipment, this ensures consistent bearing thickness for proper oil clearances, and parting line chamfers are precisely controlled, guaranteeing they are cut at the correct angle to allow for the proper amount of oil bleed-through without reducing oil pressure. Thrust washers are included, where appropriate, when they are not already molded into the main bearing. The materials are high strength (load capacity), but also have good anti-friction properties (wear resistance, anti-seizure, and embeddability). Enginetech main bearings provide extra protection and better durability within your rebuild. Select the size needed.

King TFC-Series Main Bearings

King TFC-Series engine main bearings feature a special factory applied nano-composite polymer coating—with no added thickness! The Top Fuel Line represents the culmination of the innovative and goal oriented research and production from King Engine bearings House. These bearings are available for a wide range of vehicles, especially year/make and engine applications from the 1960s and '70s. Additional details: TOP FUEL BEARINGS with K-40 POLYMER COATING: This coating composition was specially designed for engines experiencing continuous metal-to-metal contact, which is characteristic of the extreme loading and conditions found in various categories of drag racing. K-40 is used for Top Fuel, Funny Car, Pro Mod and similar applications—where bearings are required to resist metal-to-metal contact and deformation. Extreme loads cause the oil film to break down, allowing contact between the bearing and crankshaft surfaces. Maintaining low friction, even during the conditions of metal-to-metal contact, is crucial to the life of any engine bearing. King TFC bearings are designed to withstand the loading generated from 10,000 hp Top Fuel engines. TFC winning attributes: * HIGH STREGTH STEEL: able to withstand extreme loads * SPECIAL DUCTILE BRONZE LINING: will not crack under significant plastic deformation caused by high power engine (10,000 hp) * EXTRA THICK BABBIT LINING: strengthened by copper, excellent conformability * K-40 POLYMER LAYER: provides excellent anti-friction and anti-seizure properties during metal-to-metal contact

Clevite H-Series Main Bearings

Clevite H-Series main bearings were developed primarily for NASCAR racing, but are well suited to other types of competition engines as well. They're especially good for engines that run at medium-to-high revs. They have steel backings with carefully selected overlays and a high crush factor, plus a medium level of eccentricity. H-Series bearings have enlarged chamfers at the sides for greater crank-fillet clearance and are made without flash plating for better seating. They are also available with either 180 degree or 360 degree oil grooves, as well as an extra 0.001 in. of clearance.

Clevite P-Series Main Bearings

Clevite P-Series main bearings are the oldest members of the Clevite 77 bearing family and are intended for high-revving engines. To compensate for the high-load factors and distortion in these engines, these bearings have higher eccentricity and a high crush factor. P-Series bearings are constructed of tri-metal cast copper lead. They have a steel back for support, a cast copper lead lining to withstand the loads of engine operation, and an electroplated babbit overlay on the running surface to provide searing surface qualities. In addition, the oil grooves on most applications extend all the way around both halves for better oiling. Clevite P-Series main bearings are an ideal design, producing a degree of conformability, embedability, slipperiness, and fatigue resistance, not found in original equipment and competitive bimetal bearings.

Clevite V-Series Main Bearings

If you liked the results you used to get with Vandervell bearings--especially their higher conformability--then you should love Clevite V-Series main bearings. Built on unplated steel backings, for better dimensional accuracy and bore contact, they have low-to-medium eccentricity. The biggest difference between V-Series and other Clevite 77 bearings is their lead-indium surface alloy, which gives them that extra conformability. Unlike Vandervell main bearings, Clevite V-Series main-bearing sets use a single-piece thrust bearing, so you don't need separate, assembled thrust bearings. Extra-clearance variations are available to provide an additional 0.001 or 0.002 in. of clearance.

Clevite AL-Series Main Bearings

For some engines, the softer and more conformable nature of aluminum is preferable to the stiffer characteristics of the steel backings used for many bearings. Clevite AL-Series main bearings offer the features found in OE-type aluminum bearings, combined with the distinct advantages of proven Clevite know-how. That includes things such as carefully chosen eccentricities tailored to the application, and that means solid, reliable performance. Clevite AL-Series main bearings are a great choice for anything from OEM-style rebuilds to mild performance applications. Clevite recommends these main bearings for most engines using a cast crankshaft.
