Cast from diesel-grade iron with siamesed bores, thick cylinder walls and decks, Boss block strength is far superior to any Ford production block. Boss 302 blocks are available in standard and Big Bore versions that support engine sizes up to 363 c.i.d. Proven around the world, both on the track and on the street; all Ford Performance Boss 302 blocks are cast and machined to the highest industry standards in the USA. Direct from Chevrolet Performance are these 454 c.i.d. bare engine blocks. These are special Gen. VI bare iron blocks with 4.25 in. cylinder bores with 4-bolt main bearing caps. They have machined fuel pump pads, a one-piece rear main seal design, and standard 454 deck height. The maximum cylinder bore on these blocks is 4.25 in. plus .060 in. O.S., and will require the "Gen V/GenVI" design one-piece oil pan.
