Continental Overrunning Alternator Pulleys

Continental overrunning alternator pulleys are vehicle-specific and cover a wide range of applications from the 1990s and up. In addition to reducing accessory drive system vibration, these replacement pulleys have a highly sophisticated one-way clutch allowing the alternator to "coast" freely when belt speed is suddenly decreased. This "overrunning" feature eliminates the chirping sounds that often occur during engine shutdown or transmission shifting.
