Kibblewhite Black Diamond valves are CNC-machined from one-piece forgings of EV8 stainless steel, impregnated by a special German process to a depth of .002 in. with a surface buildup of .0002 in. This proprietary, multi-stage process reduces friction and provides superior resistance to wear and corrosion over traditional chrome and nickel electrolysis plating processes. These valves go through an oxiding and polishing process that creates an extremely smooth surface finish that's easy on valve guides, and there's nothing to flake off and get trapped between the valve and guide to cause seizure or wear! Improved Racing oil cooler adapters have a low-profile for more header clearance. The adapters are machined from a single piece of billet aluminum and black anodized. For additional clearance with reliable sealing, they come with aluminum gaskets fitted with Viton® seals, and the adapter mounting holes are counter-bored so the mounting bolts fit flush with the adapter surface. Select Improved Racing oil cooler adapters are also available with a built-in thermostat. Oil coolers help prevent the oil from getting too hot, but are also prone to lowering oil temperatures too much, especially in colder weather or during highway driving. The rebuildable thermostat speeds warm-up and helps reduce engine wear and horsepower losses by preventing oil temperatures from dropping below optimal levels.
