Improved Racing Oil Filter Adapter Screws
Improved Racing's oil filter adapter screws are used in conjunction with their ENV-19X Series filter takeoffs. Available individually as replacement components, these adapter screws should typically be purchased in conjunction with the ENV-19X filter takeoffs using the configurators. Improved Racing's EVN-19X Series filter takeoff adapter screws are offered in several thread sizes, featuring CNC-machined 6061 T-6 billet aluminum construction with a MIL-A-8625 Type II green anodized finish. They are designed to maximize oil flow and minimize pressure drop, and each size includes an FKM Viton® O-ring seal for maximum temperature range, fluid compatibility, longevity, and reliability. They are backed by a Lifetime Warranty. Filter adapter screws are available in 3/4 in.-16, 13/16 in.-16, M20 x 1.50, and M22 x 1.50 filter thread sizes. Improved Racing Oil Cooler Adapters
Improved Racing oil cooler adapters have a low-profile for more header clearance. The adapters are machined from a single piece of billet aluminum and black anodized. For additional clearance with reliable sealing, they come with aluminum gaskets fitted with Viton® seals, and the adapter mounting holes are counter-bored so the mounting bolts fit flush with the adapter surface. Select Improved Racing oil cooler adapters are also available with a built-in thermostat. Oil coolers help prevent the oil from getting too hot, but are also prone to lowering oil temperatures too much, especially in colder weather or during highway driving. The rebuildable thermostat speeds warm-up and helps reduce engine wear and horsepower losses by preventing oil temperatures from dropping below optimal levels. Moroso Spur Gear Oil Pump Springs
Moroso offers replacement bypass relief springs for various spur gear oil pumps, used to regulate oil pressure by controlling the flow of oil back into the pump's inlet. The 3-spring kits are designed for use with Nos. 22163, 22164, and other billet Moroso spur gear BBC oil pumps, as well as Tri-Lobe Series external/dry sump pumps. Kits contain a blue (50-60 psi), purple (60-70 psi), and brown (70-80 psi) spring to help tune the engine's oil pressure to a desired level. These springs are a critical component of an oil pump's pressure relief system. When oil pressure exceeds a certain threshold, the spring compresses, allowing excess oil to bypass the main circulation and return to the pump's suction side, which prevents excessive pressure and potential engine damage.
