PRW Cummins shaft systems are manufactured to exceed OEM specifications as a "drop in" assembly using the stock arm ratios. The upgraded rocker arm systems are complete with everything you need, from ball adjusters and fasteners, along with silicon bronze bushings instead of OEM-style needled bearings for prolonged life expectancy. They feature heat-treated, stress relieved, and shot peened bodies with bronze bushed pin bores, and the cap and rod are serialized at the parting line to ensure proper mating after disassembly. BTR inspects them for bearing housing and pin bore diameter, bend/twist, and C/L length. These replacement arms are forged from 8620 steel, heat-treated, and then shot-peened for additional strength. They feature 3/4 in. long bronze bushings, compared to the more common 1/2 in. long bushings or needle bearings. Each rod is multi-stage heat-treated, X-rayed, sonic-tested, magnafluxed, 100 percent machined, and then shot-peened to stress-relieve the metal.
