From the LS6 heads for smaller-displacement engines, to LS7 style heads for 427 in. and-larger combinations, these bare cast aluminum heads benefit from extensive research and development—ensuring maximum airflow without compromises. In fact, many professional builders use these heads as straight bolt-ons with no further machining. The engine cylinder heads are designed, engineered, and tested to rigorous standards, and are backed by General Motors. These replacements are the true OE parts installed during the production of or validated by GM for select vehicles. Chevrolet Performance LSX-SC cylinder heads are developed for big-boost levels and high-horsepower engines. Undergoing a Hot Isostatic Pressing (HIP), this process is a way of casting that removes the air pockets while improving the mechanical properties of the components. LSX-SC cylinder heads are the same ones you'll see on Chevrolet's COPO 350 engine. They're available in three different configurations: as-cast; bare with CNC-machined features; or fully assembled CNC-machined cylinder heads complete with valves and springs.
