S&S Cycle offers MK-Series Performance crankcases for a variety of Harley-Davidson Touring and Softail street bikes from 2017 and up. These assembly replacements enable you to build massive power easily and reliably, particularly with M8 engines, and stock cases can't provide the necessary quality base. MK-Series crankcases are designed to allow for larger bores, scrape more oil than stock, have a larger volume sump, and fit in a stock frame without modification. World Products has improved virtually every area of the new Merlin Gen VI engine blocks, producing one of the most technologically advanced and best-performing iron BBC engines available today! New features on these big block Chevy engines include thicker main webs for increased strength and thicker cylinder walls (nominally .250 in. @ 4.600 in. bore). They can utilize OE roller lifters or +0.300 in. tall aftermarket tie bar lifters. The World Products Merlin Gen VI engine blocks also include a standard Mark IV fuel pump boss for those wanting to keep a mechanical fuel pump.

New features include thicker main webs for increased strength and thicker cylinder walls which are nominally .310 in. @ 4.600 in. bore. In addition to the standard BBC 9.800 in. and 10.200 in. deck heights, new heights measuring 9.500 in., 9.850 in. and 10.250 in. are now available. The World Products Merlin IV engine blocks are also available with a 2.120 in. BBC cam journal and standard .842 in. lifter bores, or with a 2.283 in. journal for a 55mm Babbitt cam and .904 in. lifter bores. World Products has added a front oil feed for dry sump systems, and relocated the lifter oil feeds and restrictor provisions to the front of the blocks.
