Improved Racing Oil Pan Baffles
Proper oil pan baffling is critical for improving oil control and reducing oil starvation in high performance engines. Improved Racing oil pan baffles provide effective, track-proven protection against oil starvation for road racing, drifting, autocross, drag racing, and even off-roading and rock crawling. The baffles use trap doors to keep oil around the pickup tube and provide vastly improved oil control over the stock baffles. They are sufficient to prevent oil pressure drops at up to 1.4 sustained lateral Gs in most vehicles. Even semi-dry sump systems suffer from oil aeration when the pickup tube in the oil pan sucks up air, aerates the oil, and fills the dry sump tank with foamy oil. Foamy oil is compressible and results in oil pressure drops when pumped into the engine. B&B Performance Crankcase Evacuation Systems
B&B Performance crankcase evacuation systems offer increased performance, improved oil control, and reduced leakage past seals and gaskets. These pan systems accomplish this by design. The strategy is to lower the pressure inside the oil pan and crankcase allowing the use of low tension oil rings. Systems are available for drag racing, circle track, and all drag/circle 4-cylinder applications.
