These brand new clean sheet designed aftermarket blocks are cast in a modern state-of-the-art German foundry on brand new molds and machined in USA on modern high-speed machining centers that can hold the tightest of tolerances. Why start your engine build with a dirty, old, worn-out production block that needs hundreds or thousands of dollars of machine work--when you can start with a new heavy-duty casting full of high-performance features. We ship these blocks mostly finished but leave the cylinder bore .005" undersize, your machine shop will have to hone them for proper size. S&S Cycle Super Stock alternator-style crankcases are perfect for stock replacement and high performance applications. Available in stock and different bore sizes, some are machined for the installation of a crank position sensor, but all are compatible with stock flywheel assemblies, primary covers, gear covers, and are clearanced for 38 amp alternator stators. Certain options may include the required hardware, fittings, and bearings, and may be offered in different finishes. S&S Cycle Super Stock T2 crankcases are stock looking, but stronger with thicker wall sections, superior 356 T-6 aircraft grade aluminum, and a tough powdercoat finish. Available in different bore sizes, as well as stock, each kit will include an S&S crankcase, bearings, hardware, and instructions. Select the one designed for your Big Twin engine. S&S Cycle Super Stock generator-style crankcases for Big Twin engines with stock bores are designed with a stock-like appearance and incorporate updated design features that improve overall engine strength and reliability. Select the crankcase to fit your engine. Features and benefits: * Pre-clearance for strokes up to and including 5 in. * Motor mounts on crankcases for knucklehead engines are machined to fit stock 1936-47 frames. An adapter plate is included for 1948 and later-style frames * All cases are designed for late style generator, two brush type with 5/16 in. mounting bolts to eliminate early generator cradle/mounting strap bosses for simplicity and economics * Timken sprocket shaft main bearing, in all years, instead of stock-straight roller bearings; resulting in better flywheel assembly stability, placement and longer engine life * Kits include crankcase assembly, all required hardware and bearings for installation Note: All S&S crankcases use Timken style sprocket shaft bearings and 1958 and later pinion bearings. These cases will not accept stock 1957 and earlier flywheel assemblies.
