Trick Flow® High Port® 225 cylinder heads are specifically designed for large cubic inch small block Ford engines as well as engines with high-boost superchargers or turbos, big shot nitrous oxide systems, and other mega-power combinations. They feature unique valve spacing, .750" raised exhaust runners, extra strong castings and thick decks for additional rigidity and gasket integrity, superior cooling characteristics, and most importantly, excellent airflow. Top-of-the-line CNC Competition Ported runners with a high resolution surface finish provide maximum airflow and power over the entire rpm range. The entry into the intake runner has been reshaped to help seal the area along the port roof and thicker port walls increase strength and provide additional material for porting. Plus, interlocking ductile iron seats are used to handle the stresses of high heat, high horsepower applications. Other features include fully CNC-profiled combustion chambers with port-to-valve seat blending (bowl blending) and raised valve cover rails. These Trick Flow GenX® 205 cathedral port cylinder heads are fully CNC-machined to significantly increase the performance GM's 4.8L/5.3L/5.7L LS engines. Trick Flow engineers altered the valve angles from 15° to 13.5° to decrease valve shrouding, increase mid-lift airflow, and improve rocker arm-to-valve cover clearance. Top-of-the-line CNC Competition Ported runners have a premium high resolution surface finish for maximum flow and performance. The spark plugs were relocated in the CNC-profiled combustion chambers to enhance mid-lift airflow and increase the rigidity of the casting for extreme horsepower applications. Material was added at the rocker arm mounting points to increase high-rpm valvetrain stability. Trick Flow GenX 205 cylinder heads are emissions-legal under CARB E.O. #D-747 for 1997-present GM vehicles with 4.8L, 5.3L, 5.7L, and 6.0L engines. But progress never sleeps, so Trick Flow® developed an all-new Super 23® 215 cylinder head design that has a new and improved casting with a thicker 3/4" deck. Trick Flow® also added their top-of-the-line, CNC Competition Ported runner treatment with fully CNC-machined combustion chambers. This premium high-resolution surface finish delivers more airflow so that race-ready engines can reach even higher power numbers. You can get Super 23® 215 heads with one of two valve spring packages for different camshaft types and power levels. The standard 1.545" valve springs are perfect for most hydraulic roller cams. For more aggressive solid roller cam profiles, choose the optional 1.550" valve springs for proper control at high RPMs. Cylinder heads are available fully assembled or as bare castings. Edelbrock Glidden Victor II Pro-Port heads feature small ports and chambers with thick walls. They're designed for classes requiring in-line valves but not restricted to OEM port location. Their extended intake flange and raised runners work with Yates-style manifolds, and their raised exhaust port fits standard Yates header flanges. These heads have an improved spark plug location and angle, along with an improved water jacket design yielding a lighter and stronger casting. Water outlets are provided on the front and rear for external plumbing of a water crossover.
