COMP Cams camshaft phaser limiter kits are specially designed, computer-controlled cam gears that automatically optimize camshaft timing based on the current engine rpm. The engine oil is pressure fed to the phasers through passageways in the cylinder heads and cams. The engine computer's control solenoids that adjust this oil flow into and out of the phasers' control chambers, give the ability to retard the cams. While this technology provides fuel efficiency and the ability to always be in the best position for maximum power, regardless of engine rpm, it does present some limitations when it comes to performance cams. With such a wide range of valve timing movement, there is very little piston to valve clearance, which limits you to small cam profiles with little overlap.

COMP Cams cam phaser limiter kits restrict the range of cam timing movement (14 degrees for Chrysler, 20 degrees for Ford, and 22 degrees for GM), thus providing the necessary valve clearance for serious performance cams with tighter lobe separations--all while utilizing the benefits of VVT technology. Gain some serious upper rpm power without sacrificing bottom end or mid-range performance with Comp Cams cam phaser limiter kits.

These High Energy hydraulic lifters from COMP Cams feature a patented, constant orifice-metering valve that precisely meters oil to the rocker arms. Continuous contact between the metering valve and the precisely coined bottom surface of the pushrod seat is maintained throughout the engine's rpm range, eliminating excessive oiling at high speeds. The pushrod seat is made of a special powdered metal iron alloy, heat-treated for strength and wear resistance. The longer piston is produced with through-hardened steel that provides more bearing surface and increased lifter longevity. These lifters have a lightweight check valve disk that allows for quicker response, resulting in increased engine speed before valve float.

COMP Cams Sportsman solid roller lifters feature premium-quality, high-value components designed for sportsman and professional racing, along with high-end street machines. They're available in both needle-bearing and bushing configurations. Each design features two pressurized EDM oil feeds, as well as an edge-orifice feed to the wheel. This delivers a more reliable oil feed than most competing options. COMP Cams Sportsman solid roller lifters are also designed with a shallower oil band than competitors' versions for increased strength and rigidity, while internal machining helps to reduce weight. The body utilizes a skirted wheel that strengthens the lifter ears, and the skirt also provides more contact area with the lifter bore for further lifter stabilization. In addition, staked axles eliminate clips and provide robust axle retention. This feature increases the stiffness of the lifter ears and helps to prevent the ears from spreading. The COMP Cams Sportsman solid roller lifters are built from 8620 premium steel for increased strength and wear resistance and they feature a captured, stainless steel link bar design. The lifters also utilize a tapered and slotted link bar tower for reduced weight and improved aesthetics. Choose the size and options tailored for your engine application.

COMP Cams short travel XD hydraulic roller lifters offer the advantages of both light pre-load and reduced oil volume, producing the most stable and highest-revving hydraulic lifter available. The XD versions feature heavy-duty tool steel pushrod seats. This adds strength and durability in extreme-duty applications, such as turbo drag cars and offshore powerboats. Certain engines respond better to a light lifter pre-load because it recovers more quickly from any bad harmonics in the valvetrain. Others work better with a heavy pre-load because oil volume is reduced under the plunger, which increases lifter stiffness. Now you have the best of both—with COMP Cams short travel XD hydraulic roller lifters. Order the model designed for your vehicle and engine application.

COMP Cams's XD-A pushrods offer a game-changing method for accurately setting lash or pre-load while using non-adjustable-style rockers. These patent-pending pushrods incorporate a top section that slides 2 in. inside a wider bottom section, with one or two shims captured in-between. Proven to 9,000-plus rpm in solid roller LS applications, the system provides a 90 percent increase in bending stiffness for enhanced valvetrain stability. It also allows for lightening of a rocker arm system by 30-plus grams on the backside by removing the adjuster and required support area for threads and seating. The use of lighter rockers with XD-A adjustable pushrods allow higher rpm to be achieved by creating a much more dynamically stable valvetrain system. COMP Cam XD-A pushrods are designed especially for engines with low-mass rocker arms and a light valvetrain with drop-in fitment in LS engines. They can be adjusted over a range of .172 in. in .004 in. increments with shims. Choose the pushrods with the adjustment range needed for your setup.
