Mishimoto baffled oil catch cans are designed to separate oil particles from the PCV air that would normally have just been routed back to your intake. They feature custom grooves in the catch can's inlet that turbulates the air longer and ensures that all of the oil sinks to the bottom, leaving nothing but clean air to pass through the 40 micron bronze filter to the intake. An internal baffle keeps the collected oil from splashing around under race conditions. These catch cans are machined from 100 percent billet 6061 aluminum, and accept AN fittings at the inlet, outlet, and drain area—allowing for over 27 possible configurations. For maximum fitment options, the top cog mounting setup enables the cans to be mounted from multiple angles. To make maintenance easy, the drain plug can be removed to allow for AN return to the oil pan. Mishimoto baffled oil catch cans are washable, unlike many other cans that require you to replace your filtration system, and they're available in a variety of colors. Steeda oil separators reduce detonation, oil burning, and deposits on intake valves by removing oil drawn through the PCV system before it can contaminate the intake charge. Excess crankcase pressure (blow-by) is vented from the crankcase through the PCV system, where it is drawn into the intake manifold and returned to the engine to be burned. High-rpm, turbo and supercharged, nitrous-boosted, and high-mileage engines often draw excessive amounts of oil into the engine through the PCV system. Steeda oil separators are offered in a variety of configurations and a choice of materials. Each one plugs into the PCV hose between the PCV valve and the intake manifold and removes aerated oil from the re-circulated air and collects it so that it can be drained and recycled. They are fully sealed to ensure against vacuum leaks, and are simple to service.
