Patented ATI Super Damper standard harmonic balancers are the only crankshaft dampers designed exclusively for high performance engines. Inner and outer shells are available in aluminum or steel, and contain a steel inertia weight. The inertia weights have six (2-ring design) or eight (3-ring design) computer-machined grooves to retain the proper durometer O-rings (dyno tested for each application). ATI Super Damper Serpentine Series harmonic balancers are patented and feature grooves for serpentine belts machined into the outer damper shell. The dampers come with six outer grooves for standard OEM drive systems—but eight and 10 grooves are available for supercharger or turbo applications. Serpentine dampers are offered in a variety of diameters, and crank hubs may be fitted with a 6-groove serpentine pulley to drive external oil pumps or vehicle accessories. The Serpentine Series Super Dampers fit all ATI GM-front crank hubs and can be adapted to many engine combinations, providing maximum flexibility. They're available in steel or lightweight, hardcoated aluminum. Their proven elastomer is engineered and tuned to eliminate damaging crankshaft harmonics that cause parasitic horsepower loss. These damper shells are built to all-but-eliminate worn parts and timing problems. These are the shells only and must be used with an ATI hub, which is sold separately. PRW SFI-rated racing dampers are perfect for the weekend warrior or the all-out racer! Many features have been added to broaden the spectrum of fitment and adaptability. The inner hub and outer ring are manufactured from high-quality billet steel forgings, with heated elastomer injected between the two components parts.
