COMP Cams twin cam Thumpr camshafts are designed as a serious performance upgrade with hard-hitting sound! They feature an aggressive design that provide a thumping exhaust note and they provide a great performance upgrade to any 103 cu. in. and larger twin cam engine. The cams feature a sophisticated "Endurance Ramp" lobe design that makes great power but is easy on the tappets and valve train for long life. They feature a wide power band and pull great up to 5,400 to 6,400 rpm dependent upon the camshafts selected, and engine combination. The cams are made from 8620 billet steel and have been shown to make greater gains in power, acceleration, and throttle response when tested with larger throttle bodies. S&S states that their experiences have shown the design of pinion shafts for 1990-99 big twin engines that accept stock gear kits are not strong enough for performance applications. S&S Cycle offers inner cam gears for a variety of Harley-Davidson© street bikes from 2006 and up. This is the gear located on the inside of a camshaft, directly connected to the camshaft itself. It's responsible for transferring rotational motion from the timing belt or chain to the camshaft, allowing it to open and close the engine valves at the correct timing. Essentially, an inner cam gear is the primary gear on the camshaft that engages with the timing system to rotate the camshaft properly. When replacing valve and rocker arm components on your motorcycle, make the job easier with Feuling Parts fast-install pushrods. The adjustable rods feature a slightly shorter tapered tube—and they arrive disassembled, so you can install them without removing the top rocker box. Feuling pushrods feature a dual jam nut locking system and include a special tool to hold the tubes up and out of the way while you adjust.
