Engine Works offers lifters for a variety of applications, including many Chevrolet big block and small block V8 engines from 1955 and up. The replacements are available in hydraulic roller or flat tappet styles. These components sit between the camshaft and the cylinder valves. As the camshaft moves over the top of the lifter, it actuates, temporarily opening the valve. And because the intake and exhaust valve need to open at different times, each has its own separate lifter. Order the set recommended for your engine.
