Transform your LS1 into a powerhouse! Trick Flow® GenX® 220 cylinder heads for GM 5.7L LS1 engines are a great value in performance. The cathedral port heads incorporate features of Trick Flow® fully CNC-ported LS heads in a more affordable "Fast As Cast®" version that flows nearly as much air as their competition ported heads. The special Fast As Cast® runner design duplicates the port shape and profile of fully CNC-ported runners, resulting in near-CNC-ported performance for the same price as regular cast cylinder heads. Other features include shallower 13.5 degree valve angles to decrease valve shrouding and increase mid-lift airflow, relocated spark plugs, CNC-profiled combustion chambers with port-to-valve seat blending (bowl blending), improved rocker arm/valve cover clearance, and a rigid casting design. Trick Flow GenX 220 cylinder heads are emissions-legal under CARB E.O. D-747 for 1997-present GM vehicles with 5.7L and 6.0L engines. They are available fully assembled or as bare castings and sold individually.

Trick Flow® GenX® 255 HD cylinder heads offer an unbeatable combination of performance and durability, making them the perfect upgrade for your high-performance GM LS3 engine build. Assembled with Manley Severe Duty stainless steel valves, these heavy-duty versions of the standard GenX® 255 heads can withstand the added heat, stress, and abuse dealt by big power adders. That makes them the ideal choice for engines using superchargers, turbochargers, or nitrous. GenX 255 HD cylinder heads have fully CNC-profiled combustion chambers and CNC Competition Ported square port runners with a premium high resolution surface finish that guarantees dimensional accuracy and balanced flow from port-to-port for maximum power potential. The valve angles have been modified from the stock 15° to 12° to increase piston-to-valve clearance and allow the use of larger camshafts. The coolant holes through the head decks were designed to ensure compatibility with all LS head gasket and engine block combinations. The 6-bolt-per-cylinder mounting pattern for GMPP LSX and other aftermarket blocks increases clamping force to prevent head gasket failure, cylinder distortion, and other issues that plague the factory 4-bolt design. Trick Flow® GenX® 255 HD heads have LS3 port locations to work with all LS3-style intake manifolds and LS9/LSA blower assemblies. They must be used on engines with 4.000" or larger bores. The OE rocker arm bearing design is a proven weak link in high-performance LS engines because the bearings are unable to cope with high lift cams, higher valve spring pressures, and sustained high-RPM use. Plus, the uncaptured design allows the needle rollers to be ejected into the crankcase, potentially causing catastrophic engine damage. One way to fix these issues is with a full set of high-quality roller rocker arms. However, many builders prefer the lower cost and lightweight durability of stock rocker bodies.
