These competition dampers have a special bonded elastomer that transfers heat faster, and are ideal for drag race, circle track, and marine use. Wanting to deactivate the Multi-Displacement System of your Hemi vehicle will require a few things, including a non-MDS camshaft and components. Summit Racing™ Gen III Hemi MDS delete kits are offered in versions designed for engines with or without Variable Valve Timing (VVT). They contain premium components (except programmer) to help you complete the job. Each Summit Racing™ delete kit will include a head gasket set, timing cover gasket, non-MDS lifters, replacement cylinder head fasteners, non-MDS solenoid plug, and camshaft, along with valve springs and/or camshaft phaser limiters. Summit Racing™ Pro BBC 4-7 Swap hydraulic roller camshafts are offered in a dozen versions to cover street/towing, street/strip, and drag race applications. Each cam features a 4/7 firing order, requiring the re-routing of spark plug wires for 1-8-7-3-6-5-4-2. Cam button, a melonized or composite distributor gear, and billet compatible fuel pump pushrod are required. Choose your level of performance. Additional features and notes: * Designed for beehive or lighter 1.4 to 1.500 dual springs * Designed in 12 steps, intake closing point is most important to operating rpm * Bigger cams with increased overlap REQUIRE more open and free-flowing exhaust for maximum mid- and high-rpm power * Cam advance is ground-in, so install dot-to-dot * Although the advance may seem larger than normal, it's designed for maximum power under the curve * Track testing is recommended before altering cam advance
