These new clean sheet designed aftermarket blocks are cast in a modern state-of-the-art German foundry on brand new molds and machined in USA on modern high-speed machining centers that can hold the tightest of tolerances. Why start your engine build with a dirty, old, worn-out production block that needs hundreds or thousands of dollars of machine work--when you can start with a new heavy-duty casting full of high-performance features. We ship these blocks mostly finished but leave the cylinder bore .005" undersize, your machine shop will have to hone them for proper size. Wanting to deactivate the Multi-Displacement System of your Hemi vehicle will require a few things, including a non-MDS camshaft and components. Summit Racing™ Gen III Hemi MDS delete kits are offered in versions designed for engines with or without Variable Valve Timing (VVT). They contain premium components (except programmer) to help you complete the job. Each Summit Racing™ delete kit will include a head gasket set, timing cover gasket, non-MDS lifters, replacement cylinder head fasteners, non-MDS solenoid plug, and camshaft, along with valve springs and/or camshaft phaser limiters. These billet serpentine systems are easy to install, budget friendly, and styled just right. Summit serpentine belt systems start with a CNC-machined, 1/2 in. thick, 6061 T6 billet aluminum face plate, which has positive belt adjusting holes for both the alternator and A/C pump, plus beveled edges and a machined Summit logo. You also get CNC-machined 6061-T6 billet aluminum crank, water pump, alternator, power steering, and clutch cover pulleys, plus a chrome 105 or 140 Amp alternator, a chrome Sanden SD-7 A/C compressor with manifold lines (as noted), an as-cast aluminum GM Type 2 power steering pump (as noted), an as-cast GM high-flow water pump, a serpentine belt, and all the mounting hardware you need. It might look fancy, but adjustments are easy, all you need is a pinch bar and a socket wrench.
