Durable steel freeze plugs from Dart work like expansion plugs. As we all know, water expands when it turns to ice, and if the coolant in your vehicle doesn't have enough antifreeze protection, it can freeze and then crack the engine block. Dart freeze plugs are designed to pop out under such conditions to relieve the pressure on the block, thus protecting it against freeze damage.

Dart cylinder head bolt sleeves are manufactured from high-quality brass and are designed to seal the area where the head bolt or stud protrudes through the intake and exhaust ports. They are commonly used on CNC-ported aluminum big block Chevrolet cylinder heads. Order the size needed for your application.

If you're building up a Dart block and want the best bearings with the correct sizing, then you'll want Dart cam bearings. They're fully grooved, made from steel-backed babbit, and specifically designed for high performance use. To all of this, Dart adds their own moly-PTFE coating for even better performance and durability. This coating is approximately 0.0005 in. thick, which translates into 0.001 in. less overall clearance.
